Somatics brings an inner peace to the body that allows one to go off and dig the garden, or lie on a beach, or re-organise the world, what ever takes your fancy! Katrin is a remarkable teacher, with a real gift for encouraging and empowering her clients to recover. Her kindness and humour, her confidence, gives her clients the resilience to allow their bodies to release and recover natural movement and flexibility. She is indeed a talented teacher.
I have found Somatics to be an amazing system of muscle and tension release for the body; extraordinary in that it requires minimum effort to produce a maximum effect.

I have had the pleasure of both learning with Katrin and attending her taught sessions. Taking Katrin’s online class due to Lockdown. Katrin is easy to follow, gives knowledgeable instructions and sends a sound recording for week long practice. Booking is easy. Somatics are relaxing, gentle yet subtle. With very little effort the body engages in deeper and deeper stretching until optimum movement is achieved with seemingly little effort. Katrin’s comments lend that extra detail that make sense of or connect what’s happening inside to the movement. Amazing to be able to do all that long distance over a screen. Particularly good for sore or problem bodies.

I started Somatics in February with Katrin and am finding it a great way to exercise. It is especially suitable for those that want a more gentle type of class and yet get more flexible over time. Due to the current situation, classes are now held online via the Zoom app. It was very easy to install and it’s great to be able to continue “attending” classes from the comfort of my own home. Katrin is a wonderful teacher committed to her craft and very encouraging of those that attend her classes. Now that I’ve started I intend to continue attending over the coming years and would encourage others to give it a try.
